Activities

Relax
Image 1

There are two large lounges with TV and music centres vailable and also a separate large dining room. Activities can take place in either of these facilities as needs and group size dictate.

Both lounges over look the front garden with views to the local historic church. The dining room and small sitting area there catch all the morning sun through the main window which runs the whole width of the room.

There is a sensory garden with fish pond and raised beds for the keen gardener and those with sensory disabilities.

The homes corridors are all colour co- ordinated to make movement for the partially sighted easier. Handrails in the gardens and in the corridors allow for access and freedom of movement for our blind and partially sighted residents.

Literature

Books, audio tapes and newspapers are available in the main lounge areas. Residents may borrow audio books and standard large print books from our extensive collection.

A residents information handbook is available on request and in each of the rooms.

Visitors and prospective clients are welcome at any time.

Mealtime

At mealtimes there is a choice of menu. Well qualified chefs prepare appetising, nutritious meals, using fresh vegetables whenever possible. Special diets and personal celebrations are also catered for. Residents who have an interest in cooking may observe the meals being prepared in an open plan kitchen, and enjoy them in our non¬smoking dining room.
Residents may invite friends and family to eat with them, provided that the manager is advised in advance.
